I 'spose I should update.

I can honestly say I've never enjoyed a summer more than this one and that includes the summer I went to Europe. I don't think one actually thoroughly enjoys it until you're subjected to something such as nursing school. ;-) Just the feeling of not having to do anything for school for a few months has been absolutely amazing. Now that June is just about over, it makes me kind of sad. I feel like I am at the losing end of a tug of war. :-\

So what have I been up to.... June 5th and 6th I walked in the Avon 2 Day Walk for Breast Cancer. It was amazing but my feet are still recovering. The blisters have healed though... it's more after I've been sitting for a while or when I wake up and walk, it feels like, well, like I walked 40 miles. LOL I unfortunately sprained my ankle but it was all worth it! Three days after I walked, I packed my bags and flew to my good friend Jen's in Atlanta. From there, we (my friend Amy, Jen and I) drove to Florida. We stayed in Ocala overnight to break up the 9 hour drive and got to Cape Coral that Thursday. Picked up our friend Cate and had a wonderful vacation that included massages, evening swims and a game of truth or dare.... not to mention a crazy amount of laughter. Of course we had our annual cake eating contest and Amy and I made another video of our famous duet 'Jesus Take The Wheel'. Unfortunately I am having  a hard time uploading it to a website of any kind. :-( We drove back to Atlanta Sunday and just decided to drive straight through. Got back to Jen's around midnight. I hate when vacations with amazing friends end :-( It makes me even more sad they live so far away.

After getting back from Atlanta, I unpacked, went to work and then repacked and headed up to Wisconsin to visit family for the weekend. Had a blast, as usual, and it's beautiful in Door County. It's fun to see family you haven't seen in a while. I'm hoping to get up there again once more before school starts. Although my grandma is not doing very well and I am suspecting she has pulmonary edema along with chronic bronchitis, horrible asthma and God only knows what else. :-( I'm hoping things get better for her soon.

Now I'm home being lazy, waiting for the next batch of fun to begin. I can't believe this weekend is the 4th. Always such a fun time, with the parade, the fireworks and seeing friends. Then next week Corey comes to visit and I am super excited about that!! The weekend following that is Sting with the girls from work and that Sunday I leave for NC. I hate that there's so many things going on because it makes the time FLY. But on the other hand, the sooner fall semester starts, the sooner I graduate, right? :-)

Here's some photos from the past few weeks.
